Tech Field Day 6: A Tale of Travel and Tasty Thali
As I stepped off the plane at Logan International Airport, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and exhaustion. The journey from Norway had been long and arduous, with a few hiccups along the way. But, as they say, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” And so, I did just that – I made the most of my travel adventures and arrived at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center ready to take on Tech Field Day 6.
My journey began in Bergen, Norway, where I encountered a minor setback with my boarding pass. It seemed to have vanished into thin air, leaving me feeling quite frustrated. However, the kind and service-minded KLM employees at Schipol Airport quickly resolved the issue, and I was on my way to Logan International. The flight from Schipol to Logan was uneventful, but the 6-hour time difference left me feeling rather zapped. Luckily, I had Stephen Foskett to guide me through the labyrinth of Boston streets and find some delicious Thali at a local Indian restaurant.
As we sat down for our meal, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer number of beers on tap at the Horseshoe Pub & Restaurant. It seemed like there were endless options, each one more intriguing than the last. We sampled a few and enjoyed some great conversation with Chris Wells, who had already arrived at the venue. The world, it seemed, was indeed surviving the first-ever meetup between the vSamurai and the vNinja.
As I settled into my room and prepared for the day ahead, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for this incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and learn about the latest advancements in technology. Tech Field Day 6 promised to be an exciting adventure, full of knowledge, camaraderie, and perhaps a few more beers at the Horseshoe Pub & Restaurant. Bring it on!
