VMware Innovation Highlights from VMworld 2019

VMworld 2019 has been an exciting event so far, with a core theme of innovation that has been reflected in the numerous announcements and product releases throughout the week. As CTO for Asia Pacific at VMware, I have had the opportunity to explore some of the key highlights from the event, and I am excited to share my thoughts on what I believe are some of the most significant developments.

One of the major themes that has emerged from VMworld 2019 is cloud native. With more and more organizations moving their applications and workloads to the cloud, there is a growing need for solutions that can help them navigate this transition. At VMware, we have been investing heavily in cloud native technologies, and the announcements made this week reflect our commitment to this space.

For example, we have announced the general availability of Cloud Foundry, our cloud native application platform. This platform provides a highly scalable and flexible environment for developing, deploying, and managing modern applications. Additionally, we have introduced new features for Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), including support for Kubernetes, which further enhances the platform’s ability to support a wide range of workloads.

Another significant announcement from VMworld 2019 is the expansion of our partnership with AWS. This collaboration will enable us to deliver a more comprehensive set of cloud-based solutions to our customers, and provide them with greater flexibility and choice when it comes to their cloud infrastructure.

In addition to these cloud native announcements, we have also made significant advancements in the area of security. With the growing threat landscape, organizations need solutions that can help protect their applications and data from ever-evolving threats. At VMworld 2019, we have introduced a number of new security features, including enhancements to our NSX network virtualization platform and our Workspace ONE digital workspace solution.

One of the things that I find most exciting about these announcements is the way in which they come together to provide a more complete and integrated set of solutions for our customers. For example, the new security features that we have introduced are designed to work seamlessly with our cloud native platforms, providing a more comprehensive approach to protecting modern applications and data.

Overall, I believe that VMworld 2019 has been an incredibly successful event, with a number of significant announcements that reflect our commitment to innovation and customer success. As we continue to evolve and expand our product portfolio, I am excited to see the impact that these new solutions will have on the industry and our customers.
