VeeamON 2019: A Successful Showcase of Veeam’s Technology and Vision

The VeeamON conference, held annually by Veeam, is an exciting event that brings together industry leaders, media, analysts, and the general IT community to explore the latest trends and innovations in virtualization and cloud technology. This year’s conference, held in Las Vegas, was no exception, with a packed agenda of keynote speeches, product demonstrations, and session breakouts. As a member of the Product Strategy Team at Veeam, I had the privilege of being a part of this exciting event and witnessing firsthand the enthusiasm and engagement of the attendees.

A Different Approach to General Sessions

One of the highlights of this year’s VeeamON was the decision to split the general sessions into two parts: a Veeam Vision keynote delivered by Ratmir in the morning, and a Technology General Session held later in the day. This approach allowed us to dedicate ninety minutes to showcasing what we had released already in 2019, and then take an advanced look at what was to come later in the year. The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the more focused and in-depth approach to the general sessions.

Live Demos Make a Comeback

Another significant aspect of this year’s VeeamON was the return of live demos to the mainstage. In previous years, we had demoed some of our products during the keynote presentations, but this time we decided to bring back the live demos in a bigger and better way. We showcased eight live demos, four of which were running on Tech Preview code, and the response was nothing short of phenomenal. The confidence we have in our technology and in ourselves was evident in every aspect of these demos, from the smooth execution to the enthusiastic audience participation.

Technology General Session: A Must-Watch for IT Professionals

For those who missed the Technology General Session or want to revisit some of the highlights, I highly recommend checking out the recording. This session provided a comprehensive overview of what Veeam has delivered so far in 2019, as well as a sneak peek into what’s to come later this year.
