Unboxing and Review of the New Voltron Toys

As a child of the 80s, I have many fond memories of watching Voltron on television. The show was a staple of my after-school routine, and I was always fascinated by the five robot lions that could combine to form the mighty Voltron. Recently, I had the opportunity to unbox and review a new set of Voltron toys that celebrate the franchise’s 40th anniversary.

The toys are exclusive to Target and are available in both individual lion sets and a five-pack that retails for $100. Each lion comes with a variety of accessories, including missiles, swords, and shields. The toys are made by Playmates and are designed to be highly detailed and accurate to the original series.

Unboxing the Toys

I received the five-pack of Voltron toys, which included Black Lion, Red Lion, Green Lion, Blue Lion, and Yellow Lion. Each lion comes in its own package, with clear and simple instructions for assembly. The packages are adorned with images of the lions in their combined form, as well as details about each lion’s pilot.

The Black Lion is the largest and most expensive of the bunch, and it comes with a variety of accessories, including a sword and shield. Assembling Voltron

To assemble Voltron, I started with the Black Lion. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, and the lion easily transforms into its compressed state. Next, I transformed each of the other lions into their compressed states and attached them to the Black Lion.

Creating Voltron is a pretty easy process once you have all the lions assembled. Snap everything into place, and boom! You have Voltron standing before you. The only slight complication is that the arms are a bit weird to maneuver, but this is a small price to pay for the overall awesomeness of the toy.

One of the coolest features of the Black Lion is the “Try Me” button on the package. When you press it, the lion makes various sound effects and sayings, such as “Form Voltron!” “We will defend this planet!” and “Activate Laser Blades!” There are over 60 sounds in total, and some of them only unlock when you put the whole package together.

Overall, I am incredibly impressed with these new Voltron toys. The level of detail and accuracy is impressive, and each lion is a fun and unique addition to any collection. The ability to combine the lions into Voltron is a great feature that adds an extra layer of fun to the toy.
