Time, like a river flowing,

Carries away the memories of yesteryear,

Leaves behind only the distant past,

As the years go by, nothing remains.

Every moment, every second, every tick of the clock,

Is a chance to create something new,

To leave our mark on this world,

To make it a little bit better than we found it.

But as time flows on,

It takes with it the memories of our past,

Leaves us with only the present,

A fleeting moment that will soon be gone.

We cling to these memories,

These remnants of a bygone era,

For they are all we have left,

Of a time that will never return.

We hold on to these memories so tightly,

For fear of losing them in the flow,

But in doing so, we miss out on the present,

And the opportunities it brings.

The past is gone, and it will never come back,

No matter how hard we try to hold on,

It is gone, lost forever in the stream of time,

Leaving us with only the present moment.

So let us embrace the present,

And all that it has to offer,

For it is here and now that we can make a difference,

And leave our mark on this world.

Let us not be bound by the past,

Or held back by memories of yesteryear,

For time will keep flowing, regardless of our desires,

And all we can do is embrace the present and move forward.
