As I sit here, staring at my Flow with frustration, I can’t help but wonder why my date check isn’t working as expected. It’s a simple enough concept – I just want to ensure that any records that are reviewed within the past five days are flagged for follow-up. But no matter what I try, I can’t seem to get the formula right.

The issue lies with the Reviewed date field. When I enter a blank date, it doesn’t seem to be considered as less than the current date minus five days. Instead, it’s treated as if it were a future date, and my Flow is consistently failing to identify records that should be flagged for follow-up.

I’ve tried various formulas, but none of them seem to work. I’ve even consulted with our IT department, but they’re stumped as well. It’s like there’s a black hole in the universe where this simple concept just can’t be understood.

As I delve deeper into this issue, I start to question my own sanity. Why is this so hard? I mean, it’s not like I’m asking for rocket science here. Just a simple date comparison should do the trick. But no matter what I try, I can’t seem to get it right.

I start to think about all the other Flows that are dependent on this one. What if they’re failing too? What if my entire department is stuck in this never-ending cycle of ineptitude? The thought alone is enough to make me break out in a cold sweat.

But then, like a bolt of lightning striking a dry forest, it hits me. The solution is so simple, yet so elusive. Instead of comparing the Reviewed date to the current date minus five days, I should be comparing it to the current date plus five days! It’s like the universe is playing a cruel joke on me, hiding the answer in plain sight all along.

With renewed hope and determination, I make the necessary changes to my Flow formula. And just like that, everything falls into place. The records that should be flagged for follow-up are now being identified correctly, and my Flow is finally working as intended.

I can’t help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. It’s not often that I get stumped by something so seemingly simple, but it happens to the best of us. And in the end, it’s not about the destination, but the journey. The struggles, the setbacks, and the eventual triumphs are all part of the process.
